Recently Syria
has developed a boom in the industrial sector, mainly by the
application of private industrial companies. Under the law number
10, Syrian Modern Cables (S.M.C)
company was created in
1994
by Mr. Zouheir Ghreiwati and sons and established in the
industrial area of adra 25 km far from Damascus (capital of Syria ).
Within less than two years period, the company erected the main
building of about ten thousandths square meters, installed the most
up to date machineries, testing instrumentation, Laboratories for
quality control and start production the most advanced technology of
cables according to IEC specification, European CENELEC harmonized
ones. and succeed to start with low voltage power, control,
telephone, coaxial cables and overhead transmission lines
conductors. using the very high quality class raw materials: copper
and Aluminum rod, PVC, PE, XLPE, armoring materials supplied by the
first and most famous international producers.
Due to the previous long experience of
S.M.C
shareholders in trading,especially in the field of cables, the
company in very short time, succeed to cover the local market and
export all kind of Aluminum, copper conductor and cables up to 110
kV to the Middle east and Gulf countries, as well as in Europe and
Africa.for this reason the company decided to expand its activities
in the field of high technology cables like local telephone,
junction and long distance communication, data transmission cables,
as well as MV and high voltage cables. recently
S.M.C
company purchased new advanced technology machinery equipped with
high productivity and constant manufacturing conditions throughout
the time.
Between
above mentioned machinery,
S.M.C
acquired a continuous vulcanization (CDCC) NOKIA MAILLFER
catenary line, equipped with the most sophisticated automatic
control instrumentation and most famous triple head for simultaneous
extrusion of the inner semicon layer, XLPE insulation and outer
semi-conductive layer.
Our company has already equipped with high voltage laboratory from
Swiss
(Haefely Trench company)
with the most up to date testing instrumentation for type and
routine tests assuring high quality cables according to
international standards (IEC, BS, VDE, NF) and any other customer
request. we can also carry tests from independent national and
international institutes.
Our quality assurance program and organization ISO 9001 has
been certified by SGS (England), and quality BASEC
(British Approval Service for Cables) certificate, and KEMA
certificate (Holland), confirming the high performance we apply
for manufacturing, testing, marketing and selling of all our
