I-Routine test :

which carried out on each manufactured lengths including :
1- Spark test (in process during insulation) .
2- High voltage test (for insulation) for 5 min .
3- Electrical resistance measurements.

II- Sample test :

normally for 10 % of produced lengths including :
1- Conductor examination.
2- Verification of dimensions.
3- Hot set test for XLPE .

III Electrical Type test :

for new product or when change used raw material :
1- Insulation resistance measurements at ambient temperature.
2- Insulation resistance measurements at maximum operating temperature.
3- Impulse voltage test.

IV Non -Electrical Type test :

1- Thickness of insulation and sheath measurements.
2- Determining mechanical properties .
3- Ageing test .
4- Loss of mass test .
5- Pressure test at high temperature.
6- Test at low temperature.
7- Shrinkage, heat shock, flame retardant test
8- Water absorption test.
9- Hot set test for XLPE .

1- Thickness of insulation and sheath measurements.
2- Determining mechanical properties .
3- Ageing test .
4- Loss of mass test .
5- Pressure test at high temperature .
6- Test at low temperature .
7- Shrinkage ,heat shock ,flame retardant test
8- Water absorption test.
9- Hot set test for XLPE .

4- Impulse voltage test followed by HV test .
5- Resistivity of semi-conducting layers .

IV Non -Electrical Type test :

1- Thickness of insulation and sheath measurements.
2- Determining mechanical properties .
3- Ageing test .
4- Loss of mass test .
5- Pressure test at high temperature .
6- Test at low temperature .
